4 Easy Ways to Style Camo Pants

Camo pants are trending right now. I’m not going to lie, I put off trying the trend as long as possible — camo just reminds me of my dad going to work in the garage or going hunting. Alas, I broke down and recently snagged a very inexpensive pair (tip: don’t spend a ton until you’re sure you’ll wear the trend or that it will stick around for a while). While some say camo is technically a neutral, it’s still a pattern, so you might be wondering, “how do I style camo pants?” Today, I’m showing you this pair of camo pants styled four different ways.

Camo Pants: Labeled capris, but if you un-cuff them, they’re more like ankle jeans ($14)

Jean Jacket + Tee

OUTFIT 1: Camo Pants | Jean Jacket | Black Tee | Leather Slip-Ons

Will definitely be wearing these pants casual for the most part, and there’s nothing better than a t-shirt and denim jacket combo. I love pairing black with them and letting the pattern take center stage. I have several colors of these pocket tees — the best basic. And I can’t say enough good things about these slip-ons. They’re amazingly comfortable and go with nearly everything.

Textured Sweater + Vest

OUTFIT 2: Camo Pants | Sweater | Vest (similar here) | Sneakers

Those who know me know I wear vests with nearly everything. They add warmth and add a little something extra to anything outfit – dressy to casual. The green in these pants looks great paired with purple/mauves, so I incorporated those colors in the shoes and vest. Keep the sweater neutral (black, white, cream), but feel free to add some texture, like this ribbed sweater.

Oversized Sweater + Printed Flat

OUTFIT 3: Camo Pants | Sweater | Flats (similar here)

This is another super casual, cute way to wear these camo pants. I love how a tan or beige top tones down the pattern, but the texture of this chunky open-knit sweater still adds plenty of fun. I don’t have this exact sweater, but it’s very similar to the Universal Threads sweater from Target a couple seasons ago. It’s so comfy, but also elevated. A leopard flat is an easy way to pattern mix!

Boyfriend Blazer + Heeled Mules

OUTFIT 4: Camo Pants | Blazer (similar here) | Cami | Heeled Mules

If you work in a more casual environment, camo pants can totally work for the office. Throw on a classic boyfriend blazer, heels and a pretty cami, and you’re set. The pale pink color of this Leith blazer goes so well with the green camo (I also like this similar under $40 style). If this is too casual for your office, this look is also perfect for brunch or a fun weekend look. Swap out the mules for some snakeskin sneakers, and you’ve got extra fun weekend wear.
